Care Access Navigation Services System (CANSS)

MHA's new CANSS program is providing free screenings for  mental health and substance abuse concerns.  We are also offering assistance in finding helping link people to services for behavorial health and basic needs. Our trained clinical coordinator will help with  the identification of services and providers to meet client’s specific needs.  We can also make referrals to integrated health care specialists using our online Be Merge Provider Directory.  Our goal is to connect people who need help with the resources they need in our community, including our own Peer Place Support Center, where our free wellness and recovery support services are delivered Monday-Friday.

In the first 14 months of this project, we have:

  • Linked 1,405 people to care and resources.
  • Conducted 874 behavioral health screenings in a variety of health clinics and other locations..

This initiative is made possible by a generous grant from the United Way of Palm Beach County.
