BeMerge for Infants and Children

Half of all lifetime cases of mental illness begin by age 14, but there are average delays of 8 to 10 years from the onset of symptoms to intervention. These are critical developmental years. This gap can be closed if more primary care providers are better equipped to identify mental health concerns early.

Children’s mental health is an essential part of their overall health and well-being.  At least 1 in 10 children experience a mental illness that severely disrupts his or her daily functioning at home, in school, or in the community. An additional 16% of children have symptoms that do not rise to the level of a formal diagnosis, but they have impairments in functioning. Integrated care refers to the practice of incorporating mental health care into primary care settings for the purpose of improving the quality of services.

Be Merge for Infants and Children (BMIC) helps pediatric primary care providers proactively identify and respond to potential and current mental health issues that exist within infants, children and adolescents.

Cost: $99 (CMEs and CEUs available)
