Volunteer Opportunities

The Mental Health Association is always in need of volunteers. There are many different types of opportunities available.

If you are interested in learning about mental health, integrated care, and early intervention, apply for our extensive internship program. This internship program is for both bachelor's and master's level students that are pursuing a degree in social work.  Students will become familiar with local community resources and learn about non-profit organizations, including grants and fundraising.

You will have the opportunity to work with local healthcare providers to help their patients receive help for their behavioral health issues.  As an intern, you will also have the opportunity to shadow and facilitate groups at our Peer Place Community Support Center and also provide mental health resources and supportive listening to callers on our Mental Health GPS Helpline.

It is not without the support of our members that the Mental Health Association of Palm Beach County is able to sustain its programs and provide the services listed on our website. For more information on the perks of becoming a member please click here.
